No new coronavirus deaths have been recorded in Oxfordshire. 

According to Public Health England, nobody has died within 28 days of a positive test result in the county for more than a week. 

As it is there are 1,609 patients in hospital in the United Kingdom who have tested positive for coronavirus.

Of those, 249 are on ventilation.

This can be compared to a month ago, when on March 25, 5,407 patients were on ventilation in hospitals across the UK.

At Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (the trust responsible for the John Radcliffe, Churchill, Nuffield and Horton hospitals) no patients were admitted to hospital yesterday, bringing the total number of people who have tested positive in hospital currently to three. 

Of those, nobody is on ventilation.

At Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, there are no patients who have tested positive for the virus at any community or mental health hospitals in Oxfordshire. 

In a daily update, PHE also revealed that 15 people had tested positive for Covid-19 in Oxfordshire in the 24 hours up to 4pm yesterday.

  • Vale of White Horse - 2
  • Cherwell - 3
  • West Oxfordshire - 3
  • South Oxfordshire - 3
  • Oxfordshire - 15
  • South East -  257
  •  United Kingdom - 2,729
