GLASSY office buildings will be built on the lawns outside a prestigious creative school to provide space for research and development companies.
The two new office buildings will be erected south of the SAE Institute, Littlemore, a private college which specialises in teaching arts, music and technological disciplines.
Plans for the two 'hybrid office laboratories' were approved by Oxford City Council's east area planning committee this week.
Speaking at the committee's meeting, Tom Hesp, an agent overseeing the plans, said they were aimed at creating the 'right space in the right place' for science and research companies in Oxford to bloom.
The committee unanimously approved the buildings, which will sit near the Oxford Science Park.
