POLICE were called after groups of teenagers stormed a park in South Oxfordshire over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Residents spotted 'hundreds' of teenagers in Albert Park on Friday, who were 'drinking, swearing, fighting, urinating in bushes, having BBQs and ignoring Covid-19 rules'.

Thames Valley Police confirmed that officers visited the popular park in Abingdon on Friday, but by the time they arrived, the groups had already dispersed.

A spokesperson said: "We did have a report of a gathering in Albert Park at around 8.45pm on Friday. However, the gathering had dispersed by the time officers attended."
