Butchers’ firm Aldens in Oxford delivered to over 1,000 homes over the festive period and orders for local deliveries are continuing online.
During the first lockdown of 2020, with many restaurants closing and grocery delivery slots harder to come by, Aldens launched a new home delivery service with a varied selection of meat and veg boxes available to order online.

The online range continued to expand, including their Blenheim Estate lamb, free-range poultry, grass-fed beef, seafood from Aldens Fishmarket in Osney Mead, plus everyday staples such as free-range eggs, milk, cooking ingredients, plus fresh fruit and veg, delivered to your door with social distancing.
Matthew Alden, managing director of Aldens, said: “With the support of our customers, we have managed to adapt our business from supplying mainly the hospitality sector, to retail, online shopping and home deliveries, allowing us to continue proudly serving the local community.”
