Social enterprise Low Carbon Hub has extended the target for new investment into their Community Energy Fund share offer to £2.5 million after raising £1.5 million in just nine weeks.

The Community Energy Fund share offer opened in November 2020, seeking to raise £1.5 million and now that figure is set to increase.

The investment is needed to build Ray Valley Solar, a 19 MW solar park near Bicester.

The project will generate enough green electricity to power over 6,000 homes, making it the largest community-owned solar park in the UK.
