Waterperry Gardens near Wheatley is now closed due to the coronavirus lockdown.

Regular visitors will be looking forward to relaxing there when it reopens.

In 2019 staff and volunteers at the gardens were delighted to welcome Gardeners' World presenter Rachel de Thame for a special occasion - the opening of a new viewing tower.

"This was a tough decision to make as we know that beautiful gardens such as ours are a source of inspiration and mental wellbeing for all.

"However the very strong direction to stay local for exercise has to be taken into account and we do not want to encourage unnecessary travel.

"We hope to see you again soon."

The garden shop remains open for online and telephone sales, with some local deliveries being made.
