PLANS to build a block of flats near to a nature reserve named after the author of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe have been withdrawn.
Oxford City Council's east area planning committee had been recommended to refuse plans for nine flats at Wychwood Lane, Risinghurst, near the CS Lewis Nature Reserve.

Instead, applicant the Wychwood Foundation withdrew its plans on January 8.
The plans, which also included 20 car parking spaces, were thought to be out of keeping with the surroundings.
