Christmas scheme Boxes of Joy is aiming to help combat loneliness by delivering 95 gift boxes.
Mum-of-three Rebekah Pugh and retired maths teacher Janet Kingdon, from Faringdon, have been sending bouquets of flowers to spread joy in memory of their friend Molly Day, who died in September, aged 95.
Now, the pair want to offer support to members of the Faringdon community who have had a hard year by giving them something special at Christmas.

Community members can send a 'Box of Joy' by making a nomination or donate money to the cause via: www.flowersfrommolly.co.uk/boxes-of-joy
Ms Pugh and Ms Kingdon are looking for nominations for people who are lonely, gone through very hard times this year, someone whose Christmas will be very different to what they hoped or someone who has been bereaved and will have an empty chair at their table.
The closing date for nominations is midnight on Tuesday, December 8.
