PRIMARY school pupils celebrated their school’s new ‘vision’ by planting a flower bed and each taking home a seed to plant.
Freeland CE Primary School near Witney launched its new vision on Thursday, with an assembly at the beginning of the day and a series of activities throughout the day related to The Parable of the Mustard Seed.
This included planting a flower bed outside reception in the school’s ‘vision garden’.
Children worked on the flower bed throughout the day, before taking a home a seed in an envelope to plant.

Upon launching its new vision, the school said: “We are a community where every member, from the tiniest seed to the fullest tree, is nurtured and cared for.
“Everyone can flourish and be ready to fly the nest and soar high.
“We come together to grow, learn, love and be loved.”
The school said its aim is for children to ‘leave their primary education having the integrity, values and inspiration to enter the next step of their journey with confidence and embrace and influence the world that they live in’.
