AN OXFORD pub is taking a novel approach to dealing with social distancing rules.
The Cricketers Arms on Temple road has said it will only allow 'regular customers' to enter the venue.
The announcement was made on its website.

It said: "Due to rising cases of Covid-19 in Oxford we are only serving regular customers at present."
It added it was sorry for any inconvenience caused.
It is unclear who or how 'regular customers' are classified at the pub.
The Oxford Mail has tried to contact the venue for clarification on the new rule.
The announcement comes as pubs nationwide are struggling with new coronavirus restrictions such as the 10pm curfew.
Last week pub chain Greene King announced it would be closing over 20 venues nationwide and cutting 800 jobs.

The Bullnose Morris in Blackbird Leys was one of the sites that Greene King would not reopen.
On Thursday Marston's Brewery also announced it be axing over 2,000 jobs at its pubs nationwide.
Marston's has 11 pubs in Oxfordshire.

It is still unclear who the redundancies will affect these sites.
