Homeowners were threatened and attacked with weapons by three offenders who demanded items from their home in a robbery.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the robbery in Carterton near Brize Norton. The incident took place between 2.15 and 2.25am on Wednesday August 12.

Three offenders, all wearing masks, forced their way into the property on Sorrell Way through the front door.

The homeowners were threatened with weapons, but nothing was taken from the property.

The victim, a man in his thirties, was attacked and received a laceration to his arm which required hospital treatment and he has since been discharged.

The first offender is described as white, aged between 20 and 30 years-old, and around 5ft 10ins tall. He had a large build and short fair hair.

The second offender is described as white, aged between 20 and 30 years-old, and around 6ft 2ins tall. He had a slim build, short brown hair and had sleeve tattoos on both arms.

The third offender is described as white, also aged between 20 and 30 years-old, and around 5ft 5ins tall. He had long light brown hair and a long beard.

The offenders left in a silver hatchback vehicle, possibly a Volkswagen Golf.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Darren Pomroy, based at Banbury police station, said: “I am appealing to anyone who has any information about this incident to come forward.
