AN investigation has been launched after an indoor swimming pool was trashed.

The pool at Witney Community Primary School was found yesterday morning in a state with equipment destroyed and the pool damaged.

Furniture had been broken, items were thrown into the pool, fire extinguishers had been let off and areas had been vandalised.

The break-in happened between 11.30am on Saturday and 11.05am on Monday.

Police are now asking anyone with witness information or CCTV footage near the site of the school to come forward and call 101 quoting reference 43200238864.

The pool is used for Water Babies swimming lessons, run by a family who had to cut their family break short to come back to carry out cleaning and repairs.
