A VILLAGE pub extending its kitchen has had to submit evidence that its new extractor fan will not be too noisy for the neighbours.
The Eight Bells in the tiny village of Eaton near Oxford is already in the process of a kitchen and bathroom extension.
However, as part of its planning permission from Vale of White Horse District Council, managers agreed to submit details of what extra 'noise' the extension could create.

As such, they sent the council a drawing of the new device this month – a Gigabox 450mm centrifugal fan.
They also sent the council details of the 'anti-vibration mount' they will use to install the fan to dampen any sound that it might make.
The Eight Bells, which describes itself as 'a cosy, friendly English pub' has a traditional Aunt Sally game area, and several years ago started serving Thai food alongside more traditional English pub grub.
