THE town council-run cafe at Y Plas in Machynlleth is back open for takeaways as Welsh Government lockdown restrictions are eased.

A spokesman said: “We are really excited to be opening back up and seeing everyone again.

“As of Monday, July 6 we will be open on the following days - Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am.

“Come and enjoy your take-away breakfasts, cakes, coffees/teas and lunches. Won’t it be lovely to socially distance sit on the benches and green outside again – we can’t wait.

“For now, all orders will be takeaway, or you are more than welcome to use the benches and the lovely outdoor space we have.

“We have been preparing the building for your returns to the cafe, and are able to open up the toilets in the building too.

“Did we mention that we also have free wifi?

“While we have you, we ask that all customers keep to all social distancing measures that we all know well by now, to ensure both your safety and ours.”
