A POWER cut has left hundreds of homes across Oxford without electricty.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) said there was a 'loss of supply' across the OX4 area and beyond.
It says the power went out at 1.51pm and it was originally aiming to get people's electricity restored by 4.30pm.
This was later updated to 7pm, although one resident who contacted the Oxford Mail said their supply was restored before 4pm.
In a statement the company said: "We’re sorry for the loss of supply.
"We currently have a fault affecting the areas listed.
"Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.
"If you need more information, please call us on 105 or send us a message on Facebook or Twitter (@ssencommunity) and quote reference 'GH3309'."
