Britain's wartime sweetheart, best known for the song 'We'll Meet Again', has died today aged 103.

We've had a hunt in our library to find some pictures of when Dame Vera Lynn, one of the country's most loved entertainers, featured in our papers.

Here is what we found:

Oxford Mail:

Pictured is Rosalind Meiggs and Rex Bourne, winners of our sister paper The Oxford Times essay competition at the Guildhall luncheon in London in April 25, 1958.

Vera Lynn is pictured in the middle with Normal Widsom and David Crawley - who acted as the London host to Rosalind and Rex.

Another snap shows Vera Lynn in Oxfordshire in 1942.

A uniformed Glen Miller is on the right, with bandleader Joe Loss to her left.
