A MAN who prosecutors say fled police while he was banned from the roads in a case of 'dangerous' driving has been given a final date for his sentencing hearing.
Robert Vaughan was excused his attendance at Oxford Crown Court yesterday for a hearing in which he could enter a plea of guilty or not guilty to the offences he faced.
In Vaughan's absence his defence barrister said that the 24-year-old of Saxton Road, Abingdon, 'indicated' guilty pleas to all the offences he faces.
Prosecutors claim that Vaughan drove dangerously while on Springfield Avenue, Banbury on April 14 this year.

It is also said that he drove while disqualified and without third party insurance on the same date and at the same location.
The court heard at the hearing that Vaughan had been made subject to an interim driving ban when he was seen again on the roads by police.
Vaughan then 'drove away from the police.'
Presiding Judge Ian Pringle QC agreed to adjourn the case for sentencing to tie up with other matters, for which Vaughan has already pleaded guilty at a previous hearing.
Vaughan was bailed to await his sentencing and that hearing will take place at the same court on June 18.
