A ZEBRA crossing will be built at the top of Morrell Avenue.
The residential road runs to the south of South Parks and is a more gradual route to the top of Headington Hill.
The new crossing will be funded by Oxford City Council and built as the road meets the roundabout at Warneford Lane.
Oxfordshire County Council's cabinet member for the environment Yvonne Constance rubber stamped the project yesterday (21/05).
City councillor for St Clements ward Tom Hayes said the crossing would be welcomed by residents in his area, but added some of them may disagree with the planned location.
