DON'T undo all of the work we've done to slow the spread of coronavirus by going out this weekend, Secretary of State Dominic Raab has warned.
In this afternoon's press conference, Sir Patrick Vallance said he expects the number of deaths to rise for another two weeks.
The country is in lockdown and police now have new powers to stop any individual undertaking non-essential travel.
As temperatures are set to hit the 20s this Easter weekend, Mr Raab - standing in for the Prime Minister who is in intensive care - warned residents not to 'undo' all of the hard work and to stay in their homes.
It is 'too early' to discuss relaxing the lockdown rules, he said, as we are yet to hit the peak of the virus.
The daily death toll in England has risen by 765, bringing the total so far to 7,862.
