A MAN kicked a woman in the chest and then slapped her friend outside a pub before threatening a member of the public with a knife.

Between 12.30 am and 3.30am on Wednesday March 18 a woman in her thirties was attacked by a man outside the Baron pub, Cowley Road.

After the attacker kicked the victim to the chest, he then slapped her friend, a woman in her forties.

Later, outside the 02 Academy, the offender then attacked the first victim again by hitting her on the head.

The same offender then assaulted the woman in London Road, Headington.

A member of the public approached the victim, to check she was alright, however the offender threatened them with a knife.

Investigating officer, detective constable Jessica Godfrey, based at Oxford police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed these incidents to please come forward.

“I believe that three men tried to intervene when the victim was assaulted on the Cowley Road, and I am specifically appealing for them to come forward with any information they may have.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 101, or making a report online, quoting reference 43200090452.
