A POPULAR farmers' market went ahead this weekend but added some extra measures to make sure shoppers stayed at least two metres apart.
There were still plenty of customers at East Oxford Farmers' and Community Market on Saturday, though a little more spread out than usual.

Tweeting about the measures Oxford's Lord Mayor Craig Simmons, who visited the market, held weekly at East Oxford Primary School, described it as 'strange times'.

He shared a sign showing people should queue two metres apart going in to the market and that there was 'one in one out' system 'to avoid crowds in the market whilst allowing everyone access'.
The move was praised by regulars, with one commenting online: "Fantastic organisation, long queue, but moved quickly. Successful, apart from loo rolls."
The market, which focuses on Oxfordshire and fairtrade producers, was limited to food and household detergents/toiletries this weekend.

A note on the market's website added: "This is a time when we are grateful for our wonderful local producers who are vital for keeping us all fed."
