Couple assaulted by knife-wielding gang who stole cash during Tranmere burglary
TWO offenders fled a major street in Oxford after they attempted to break into a residential property.
The to-be-burglars failed to force entry via the front door on St Clement's Road and nothing was stolen.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the attempted burglary that happened at about 5pm on Saturday.
Members of the public with information about the incident is urged to call 101 quoting reference 43200086797 or report online.
Alternatively, if people do not want to speak directly to the police they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
