THE trial of a man accused of having drugs and a stun gun at his Oxford home has collapsed.

David Boiling began his case at Oxford Crown Court on Wednesday.

The 45-year-old of Sandford Road, Oxford denies three counts alleging possession with intent to supply drugs and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Prosecutors claim that he had cannabis; a class B drug, as well as Diazepam and Alprazolam; both class C drugs.

It is alleged that the banned items were discovered after a police raid at his then address at Northfield Close, Oxford, on June 6 2018.

Today the jury was discharged and the trial stopped because of legal reasons.

A re-trial was listed at that hearing to be held at the same court.

That trial is expected to take place on June 10.
