A MAN accused of stalking a woman over a period of nine months in Oxfordshire is set to appear at court.
Mark Cowell is charged with one count of stalking without fear, alarm or distress.
Prosecutors claim that the 52-year-old of Hexton Road in Bedford stalked one woman between April last year and January this year.
The offence is alleged to have taken place in the Didcot area.
It is alleged that Cowell harassed the woman by repeatedly contacting her by text, telephone and voicemail.
It is also claimed that he called at her place of work and contacted her friends and family.
Cowell has not yet entered a plea to the single count that he faces.
He is set to appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court today for the first listing of his case.
The alleged offence is 'summary only' and carries a maximum sentence on conviction of six months in prison or an unlimited fine.
