A NEW app has been created to give pregnant women in Oxfordshire all the information they need in one place.

It has been launched by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) together with neighbouring hospital trusts in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

The app aims to provide women with a single source of trusted NHS information for all their maternity needs.

It offers multiple links and videos of a range of topics including emotional and physical wellbeing, mental health concerns, advice for partners, preparing for labour, post-birth care, baby care basics, mum and baby checks, recovering from different types of births, and medical conditions and advice for when new mums get home from hospital.

Claire Frenwen, mum and chair of the volunteering group Oxfordshire Maternity Voice Partnership, said: “It’s fantastic having an app which is specific to your place of birth. It’s easy to use, very user friendly, and so handy having it all on your phone."

The app is available to download in both iOS and Android formats by searching for 'mum and baby'.
