ELLIOTT Moore believes Oxford United have a ‘massive chance’ to deliver an Emirates FA Cup shock tonight.

After sharing a goalless draw at St James’ Park last month, the U’s have a second crack at Newcastle United in the fourth round.

This time it comes at a packed Kassam Stadium and the BBC One cameras are in town looking for an upset.

Moore has played in all three of United’s meetings with Premier League sides – scoring in the 4-0 win over West Ham United in September.

And the centre back stressed the underdogs will not be going in just to make up the numbers.

He said: “I think we showed that in the first game.

“We’re not here just to be part of the Cup and then get kicked out.

“We’re here to go as far as we can.

“I think we have a massive chance and I feel that everyone believes it as well.”

U’s boss Karl Robinson made headlines after the first game, when he called for replays to be scrapped.

It would mean the original tie going to extra time or penalties, saving United a game in a February which includes eight Sky Bet League One fixtures.

But for Moore, who signed from Leicester City last summer but never played a competitive game for the Foxes, it is another priceless opportunity to continue his education.

He said: “As a player you love to play against the top sides.

“Everyone has a lot of games and in February a replay might not have been the best.

“But for me and I think a lot of the players it’s a great opportunity to play against some of the best players in the world, so I’m not going to complain about it.”

Nathan Holland experienced a full house at the Kassam as part of the beaten Hammers team earlier this season.

This time the winger, who came close to winning the original tie in stoppage time, is looking forward to having the Yellow Army’s backing.

He said: “I think it will be much better to have them cheering for me.

“I expect it will be a good atmosphere and I’m looking forward to it.”

Marcus Browne also had a big opportunity to break the deadlock on Tyneside.

And while Holland admitted they were kicking themselves afterwards, the opportunities give the hosts confidence tonight.

He said: “We felt a bit disappointed after the game because of the chances we made, but we couldn’t be too hard on ourselves.

“I’m sure we’ll get chances again, hopefully we can finish them off.”
