JAMES Henry has been sent for a precautionary scan this morning and will not be risked in Oxford United's Emirates FA Cup replay against Newcastle United tomorrow.

But there is better news on Anthony Forde, who returned to training this morning after a nasty chest injury in December and could be back in the squad on Saturday.

Henry only returned on Saturday after missing a month with a thigh strain.

The U's top scorer reported an issue in his other leg after the 2-1 win over Blackpool.

And although it is not thought to be serious, head coach Karl Robinson is taking no chances.

He said: "James Henry is having another scan.

"It’s on his other thigh. We don’t know 100 per cent what that is - he said it felt stiff during the game.

"I won’t risk him tomorrow, James Henry is far too important to this football club for the league campaign.

"I’m not expecting it to be serious, I think because there has been an issue with his thigh it will be more of a case of proving to him it’s not as bad. We’ll see."

Forde has been out since the start of December, when a tackle left him with four broken ribs and a punctured lung.

But he has made excellent progress and after completing a fitness test at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday, the 26-year-old is back in with the rest of the squad today.

Robinson said: "Fordey should be back in the squad for the weekend, we’re hoping. He trains today.

"He sleeps, he recovers, he does everything on the money. He’s top drawer at that."
