AS the centre of Bolton’s nightlife, Bradshawgate today is a constantly evolving collection of bars and nightspots.
These pictures illustrate how in the past more shops, banks and office space could be found on Bradshawgate.
This picture taken in 1987 shows Bradshawgate at it's junction with Great Moor Street
This picture was taken in 1946 near Nelson Square and shows one of Bolton's last running trams on what was the T route to Tonge Moor.
This picture was taken in 1974 shows the Bradshawgate entrance to the Arndale Centre. Cooper's shop and Fold Street are on the right.
This picture was taken in 1979 and shows a car turning off Bradshawgate onto Churchgate which you no longer can do.
