A VILLAGE is being urged by help police find vandals responsible for destroying a tree planted by a terminally-ill mum as a memorial for her loved ones.
Dominique Hill planted the willow tree by Grove’s Letcombe Brook in March, 2018, a month after the mother-of-two's first sapling was snapped in half.

The memorial to the 44-year-old, who died in December 2018, was targeted for a second time on January 11 sometime after 6pm, with a saw used to hack the tree in two.
Despite widespread outrage from the community police have still not caught those responsbile and have now appealed for help.
A post on the Thames Valley Police South Oxon and Vale Facebook page, said the Wantage Neighbourhood Team had been out in Grove following up on reports of criminal damage to the memorial tree.
It added: "House to house enquires proved negative so I appeal to local residents to please inform the Neighbourhood Team if you have information on who did it."

Anyone with information can also call 101 and quote reference number 478120120.
A crowdfunding campaign to plant a third tree on the spot has raised more than £500.
