THE state of retail once again dominated the business news this week, with one of Bournemouth's famous names facing adminsitration.

1. Beales filed notice of its intention to appoint administrators if a buyer or more funding does not emerge. 

Its boss blamed difficult trading and the "lunacy" of the business rates system, but insisted it was possible for the business to become profitable.
