AN OXFORD care home is once again opening its doors to elderly people in the community who face Christmas day alone this year.
Green Gates Bupa Care Home, in Summertown, has partnered with Re-engage, a charity that aims to alleviate loneliness and social isolation for over 75s, and their festive campaign ‘Community Christmas’.
The care home will open its doors on Christmas day to welcome local, older guests to enjoy a traditional roast dinner, festive games and entertainment, plus company from staff and residents at the home.
