This week's camera club theme was lights, to get everyone feeling little more Christmassy. The week's entries were colourful and wintery capturing the cold mornings and evenings in Oxford.

From switching on Christmas lights to wintery mornings the pictures were full of golden light and warmth.

On the theme of Christmas we had lights from across Oxfordshire helping everyone get into the Christmas spirit.

Another Christmassy picture is the mistletoe shaped lights decorating the tree at the Waddeson Christmas fair.

Ian Marriot also submitted a colourful picture for the lights theme which is very Christmassy. With colourful LED lights in the shape of a tree which is very eye catching.

More of Christmas from the lights at Blenheim palace arching over its visitors.

Black Friday was last week and the retail theme carries on into camera club with the picture of the shop decorations in Witney.

However, it is only the beginning of December and there were many entries on the theme of lights that depicted misty mornings and the light on the streets of Oxford.

Many pictures capture the morning light and one picture of the University Boathouse shows the silent morning and the lights shining brightly by the dark water of the river.

One picture of an Oxford bus whizzing past shows the light running streamline to the moving bus. However, Peter Silver's picture of the Didcot railway almost takes us back in time as steam fills the air and the lights in the background light up the trains. The historic buildings across Oxford city centre have also been incorporated into the lights theme, with pictures of the light breaking through and the Bridge of Sighs glowing at night.

The camera club entries have been great this week with some very artistic photos and the winner of this week's camera club will be announced in tomorrow's paper. Following the theme of lights the theme for next week's camera club is frost.
