RICKY Khan says Chinnor are not getting carried away by their recent run of results as they prepare to take on Birmingham Moseley.

The Thame-based side will head to the West Midlands tomorrow on the back of an unbeaten November.

Chinnor are sixth in the National League 1 table, but three wins and two draws, as well as other results going their way, have closed them to within five points of leaders Richmond.

The Oxfordshire side will be aiming to stretch their unbeaten run to six games, but Moseley will not be taken lightly.

“I think it would be dangerous if we got too carried away,” said backs coach Khan.

“We’ve got to focus on the next game. There were a few surprise results at the weekend, so we’ve just got to stay in the fight and that’s what we’re all about.”

Chinnor lost four of their opening eight games, but have not tasted defeat since October 26.

Khan has been pleased with the displays, particularly in the back line.

He said: “We’re starting to hit our form a little bit now.

“Some lads are stepping up, obviously there’s players coming back from injury and people are putting pressure on each other.

“They’re just starting to click a little bit more now and the backs scored three tries at the weekend, so that’s really positive moving forward.”

Khan added: “Some of them have come from full-time rugby and there is an adjustment period.

“Obviously we only had pre-season to gel the squad together and I guess it has taken a little bit longer than we wanted it to.

“But now we’re starting to see the fruits of that labour.”

Chinnor will be without centre Chris Elder, who is playing for representative side the Ramblin Jesters at the Dubai 7s tournament, while Kieran Goss (hip) and Will Harries (hamstring) are doubts.

Henley Hawks will look to maintain their National 2 South promotion push when they host Bury St Edmunds.

Having won their last three games, Hawks are just a point off the top of the table.

Head coach Luke Allen makes four changes.

Alex Burrage moves from centre to outside half in place of Ben Bolster, while Connor Morrison returns to take his place in the centre.

In the forwards, prop Rory Mason starts in place if Charlie Hughes, with Will Bordill named in the back row.

Oxford Harlequins make five changes for their South West 1 East clash at Marlborough with Callum Cashman, Rhys Painton, Alex Pilcher, Andy Moore and Toby Butler coming in.

Southern Counties North leaders Witney travel to third-placed Shipston-on-Stour to take on a side who boast a 100 per cent home record.

They make one change with Callum Godfrey starting in place of injured Lewis Collins.

In Southern Counties South, Grove’s Huw Lewis should finally make his first start of the season when they travel to Yeovil. Guy Nichol is also back.
