Oxford City Council headquarters in St Aldates
A COUNCIL meeting which was due to be held tonight has been rescheduled due to restrictions which apply during the election campaign period.
Oxford City Council's Scrutiny Committee was due to meet tonight at the town hall at 6pm.
It has now been postponed until Tuesday, December 17 due to the purdah period which is in force for the general election campaign.
Purdah prevents local government organisations from making any announcements which may seem to favour any particular candidate in an election.
