She explained that gates at RAF Benson open at 9am and close at 11.45am.

Ms Sloper is encouraging residents to get involved and line the route to support those riding past.

Those who wish to ride will need to register online and pay a small fee of £5 which will pay for a traffic management company to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Registration closes on October 24 - to sign up click here.

Any money left over from this will be donated to PC Harper's fundraising page which will then be given to his family.

When bikers sign up to register, they will be entered into a raffle and will be in with the chance to drive a BMW for free for one weekend.

The Ride of Respect was set up by Ms Sloper to honour PC Harper who died whilst responding to a burglary near Sulhamstead in August.

Riders are expected to come from across the whole of the UK including police forces from Wales, Ireland and Guernsey and members of the London fire brigade.
