EDDIE Pepperell will tee off at the Italian Open at Olgiata GC this morning hoping to enhance his position in the world’s top 50.
The Abingdon golfer has travelled to Rome full of confidence after an impressive display at last month’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, where he finished in a tie for 15th place.
Pepperell is ranked No 42 in the world and knows a strong finish will boost that position, as well as his hopes of making the European Tour’s season-finale in Dubai.
The Frilford Heath member tees off at 7.10 BST alongside Graeme McDowell and Robert MacIntyre.
The trio then start at 11.40 tomorrow.
