THE final space on Witney's war memorial could soon be filled.
Witney Town Council's halls and green spaces committee approved a request to add Lucy Harris, the only woman from the town to die in the First World War, to the memorial in Church Green last night.

Ms Harris died of pneumonia on November 1, 16 days after she joined the women's RAF.
The matter will now be referred to the council's policy, governance and finance committee, which will next meet on September 23, before it is ratified at a full council meeting on October 7.
