TRAVELLERS have been disrupting the lives of residents near the Kassam Stadium after yet another group moved into the complex's car park.

About six caravans, plus dogs and horses, set up camp in the site's overflow car park yesterday evening.

One homeowner, who wished to remain anonymous, said the group was making 'a lot of noise' overnight, through barking dogs, cutting trees and generators running.

The resident also suggested the group was allowed to set up camp because a barrier at the entrance to the car park had been removed.

A photo appears to show the group camped behind Vue cinemas and Hollywood Bowl, which forms part of the Ozone Leisure Park opposite the stadium.

The site is owned by the Kassam Stadium, but the complex refused to comment on the issue.

Thames Valley Police confirmed it was 'made aware' of the encampment at 6.47pm yesterday.

The force added: "There will be officers attending to encourage engagement between the police, local council and landowner."

Travellers have taken over the same location on several previous occasions, including a group of eight vehicles, plus horses, in July.

Previously, a group moved in last November and in the February before that.

On Monday, travellers set up camp at Great Western Park in Didcot, with one resident spotting four caravans parked next to trees, close to the under-construction new builds.
