A DRUG dealer caught with tens of thousands of pounds of cocaine in his Cowley home has been jailed.

Albanian national Edison Vid Poclusan had already admitted possession with intent to supply cocaine and acquiring criminal property.

Oxford Crown Court heard at his sentencing hearing yesterday how the 28-year-old, of Wilkins Road, Oxford, was spotted 'acting suspiciously' in a BMW in Wood Farm on the night of June 17.

When he was taken to the police station his house was searched by police and inside a haul of drugs with a street value of £33,660 was discovered.

Some of the drugs had a purity of some 81 per cent which a court judge said was at 'importation level.'

Cash was also seized from the car and the house totalling about £15,000.

In mitigation at yesterday's hearing defence barrister Jonathan Coode said that his client had come to the UK illegally and had owed Albanian people traffickers a debt as a result.

After returning to Albania and then coming back to the UK, the court heard, his debt had doubled to £20,000.

He added his client had 'co-operated' with police throughout.

Judge Peter Ros jailed him for six years on both counts to run concurrently and a further hearing will be held on November 7 to recover his ill-gotten gains.
