A CELEBRATION of the life of Oxford broadcaster Bill Heine will take place tomorrow.

Mr Heine died earlier this year after a long battle with leukaemia.

The American-born man, who was behind Headington's shark house, chronicled his struggle with the disease in a weekly column for the Oxford Mail.

A family funeral was held following his death, aged 74, in April but now a second service has been arranged for friends and acquaintances.

It is being organised by Mr Heine’s partner Jane Hanson and will take place from 6pm to 8pm at the University Church of St Mary the Virgin in High Street. All are welcome.
