TOMORROW is the last day for residents to have their say on Headington breaking away from Oxford City Council and making a new parish.

Earlier this month a meeting was run by Headington Community Forum who proposed the original ideas.

A spokesperson from Oxford City Council joined in to chat to residents about what would happen if the idea was given the go-ahead.

Perks of having a 'community council' – the same as a parish council – include more control of how cash is spent in the suburb.

Ideas have been floated to build toilets in public parks.

But, money would have to be raised through a council precept.

The consultation period will close at midnight tonight, and residents can respond to the ideas by filling out an online questionnaire on the council's website.
