FIRE crews scrambled to a car in flames on the M40 yesterday morning.
The car fire happened near the Oxford services on the southbound carriageway between junction 9 and 8a.

One lane was closed whilst firefighters from Bicester extinguished the blaze, working with Highways England traffic officers.
Pictures posted on the Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service Facebook page show the charred car completely destroyed.
No one was hurt in the incident.
