OXFORD MAGISTRATES’

KUDAKWASHE MARAMBA, 43, of Dene Road, Headington, was convicted of driving above the legal alcohol limit and driving without insurance and without a licence on February 10 at Garsington Road, Oxford. Had 115mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was made subject to a community order to include programme requirement for 20 days, rehabilitation activity requirement for 10 days and 100 hours of unpaid work. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £775 and was disqualified from driving for five years.

PHILIP BYE, 46, of Croft Road, Oxford, was convicted of speeding by driving 57mph in a 40mph area on the A41 Bicester on November 18. He was fined £70 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and his driving licence was endorsed with four penalty points.

GITA HARCOURT-SMITH, 39, of Back Street, Thame, was convicted of speeding at 56mph in a 30mph area on the A40, London Road, Postcombe, on September 26. She was fined £250 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85. Driving licence endorsed with six penalty points.

TERRANCE HANKS, 39, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted stealing £34.50 worth of alcohol from Sainsbury's in Oxford on January 15. Also admitted stealing £33.50 worth of alcohol and crisps, a Braun’s Hold Shaver valued at £299.99 and alcohol valued at £5.50 on January 11 from the same shop. He also admitted six counts of begging in public. Jailed for 24 weeks and ordered to pay £20 compensation.

LUCIE JOHNSON, 46, of Millais Close, Oxford, admitted driving above the legal alcohol limit on July 7 at the A34 Southern bypass near Pear Tree Junction, Oxford. Had 43mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. She was fined £160 and must pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85 and was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

MARCUS KEADY, 36, of Paradise Street, Oxford, admitted stealing meat to the value of £90 on June 30 and Lenor fabric softener valued at £63.92 on July 2 from Co Op, Oxford and breaching a previously imposed suspended sentence. He was jailed a total of 29 weeks and must pay compensation of £20.

PATRICK WARAKSA, 29, of Oliver Road, Oxford, admitted driving above the legal alcohol limit on July 7 at Fern Hill Road, Oxford, and driving without insurance. Had 43mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was fined £500 and must pay a victim surcharge of £50 and court costs of £85 and he was disqualified from driving for 14 months.

JESSICA FEAR, 29, of West St Helen Street, Abingdon, admitted driving above the legal alcohol limit on July 6 on Marcham Road, Abingdon. Had 117mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. She was made subject to a community order to include 120 hours of unpaid work and must pay a victim surcharge of £90 and court costs of £85. Banned from driving for 26 months.

ANDREW ROBINSON, 50, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress at St Aldate’s, Oxford, on July 20. He must pay compensation of £50.

JOAQUIM NUNO DE PALMA NOGUEIRA, 48, of Brasenose Road, Didcot, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis as a vehicle driver when requested on July 6 at Abingdon Police Station. Given a 12-week sentence suspended for 12 months and made subject to a community order to include alcohol treatment for nine months and rehabilitation activity requirement for 15 days. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £122 and court costs of £85. Banned from driving for four years.

SAMANTHA THIRLBY-SMITH, 49, of Grey’s Road, Henley-on-Thames, admitted failing to provide a specimen of breath in Oxford on April 3. Fined £162, and ordered to pay £380 court costs. Banned from driving for 36 months.

TRUDY APPLEBY, 42, of Dandridge Close in East Hanney, admitted speeding on the 30mph Botley Road on November 18, 2018. Caught driving at 41mph. Fined £250, and ordered to pay £115 court costs. Driving licence endorsed with four points.

JAMES BADRICK, 39, of Tavistock Avenue in Didcot, was convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway train in Oxford on January 27 without having paid the £11.70 fare. Fined £440, ordered to pay £11.70 compensation, plus £204 court costs.

DANIEL BUCKNELL, 23, of Nightingale Avenue in Oxford, was convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway train in Oxford on February 3 without having previously paid the £9 fare. Fined £440, and ordered to pay £9 compensation, plus £204 court costs.

SARAH COTTERELL, 39, of Windrush View, Little Minster, Minster Lovell, was convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service in Oxford on February 14 without having previously paid the £6.80 fare. Fined £440, and ordered to pay £6.80 compensation and £204 court costs.

ELEANOR DYE, 20, of Blackwater Way in Didcot, was convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway train in Oxford on March 6 without having previously paid the £21.60 fare. Fined £440, ordered to pay £21.60 compensation, and £204 court costs.

CLAYTON GOLDSTONE, 19, of George Street in Banbury, was convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway train in Oxford on January 27 without having previously paid the £11.70 fare. Fined £440, ordered to pay £11.70 compensation and £204 court costs.

COLIN MANNINGS, 33, of Broadway in Didcot, was convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway train at Didcot Parkway on January 17 without having previously paid the £33.70 fare. Fined £440, ordered to pay £33.70 compensation, plus £204 court costs.

ALAN POWELL, 44, of Pinsley Road in Long Hanborough, Witney, was convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway train in Oxford on March 20, and March 25 without having previously paid the £3.10 for each fare. Fined £160, and ordered to pay £6.20 compensation, plus £230 court costs.

MARTIN ROZWADOWSKI, 41, of Wellington Avenue in Banbury was convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway train at Didcot Parkway on January 17 without having previously paid the £11.70 fare. Fined £440, ordered to pay £11.70 compensation, and must pay £204 court costs.
