EDDIE Pepperell carded a four-over-par final round as he finished well down the field at the St Jude Invitational in the United States.
Five bogeys on the back nine saw the Abingdon golfer shoot 74 on the last day of the lucrative World Golf Championships event in Memphis, Tennessee.
Pepperell headed to the first tee on level par, thanks to rounds of 70, 74 and 66.
He built on his superb four-under par round yesterday with a birdie at the par-five third, before picking up another shot at the seventh.
But the world No 38 reached the turn one one under after a bogey at the ninth.
Pepperell then dropped shots at the 12th, 13th and 14th holes as he slipped to two over.
Bogeys at the 17th and 18th meant the 28-year-old was unable to finish his round on a high.
