THIS is how a new complex on the site of a former city centre homeless shelter could look.

Oxford City Council’s housing company wants to build new homes there after the authority’s former Lucy Faithfull House was demolished last year.

Although it insisted the plans were ‘still in draft’, it said they were ‘advanced enough’ to share with the general public and obtain people’s views.

The site is at the corner of Speedwell Street and Faulkner Street.

An exhibition displaying the plans was held at the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Centre in Littlegate Street from 2pm until 7pm yesterday.

Baroness Faithfull was a celebrated social worker, and fellow of St Hilda’s College, Oxford, who died in 1996.
