THAT’S football magic!
These primary pupils were treated to a free day of professional football training yesterday from Oxford United themselves.
Team coach Chris Lowes visited Appleton CofE Primary School to show them some fundamentals – and a few tricks.
The children also got to meet the U’s famous mascot Olly the Ox, after one of their fellow pupils – seven-year-old Elliot Briscoe, from Abingdon – won a colouring competition run by housing association Aster.
After meeting the club’s mascot in the school assembly, every year group got to enjoy a free half-hour coaching session with Mr Lowes and his community coaching team.
Aster Group owns and maintains more than 30,000 homes across the UK.
