THIEVES have broken into cars at three Oxfordshire beauty spots.
Police have warned people of a spate of five thefts in the Faringdon and Wantage area, which all happened on Tuesday.
Two incidents were reported at Ashbury, near the White Horse, two at Scutchamer Knob in East Hendred and one at Blowingstone Hill in Kingston Lisle.
Police officers will be patrolling the areas but visitors have been urged to be vigilant, report anything suspicious, and remove all valuables from their vehicles if leaving them parked at beauty spot locations.
A warning issued by police said: "We advise against hiding valuables inside your vehicles and encourage you to park in places that are visible to passing traffic or members of the public where offenders will be discouraged from targeting parked vehicles."
