A 34-YEAR-OLD who deliberately drove his car into a man in a supermarket car park has been jailed.

Mohamed Mohamed, of Gordon Close, London, was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court to eight years in prison yesterday after pleading guilty to one count of grievous bodily harm.

The sentence relates to an incident in a car park of a supermarket in Wheatley, near Oxford, at 12.30am on February 24 2018, when Mohamed deliberately drove a car at a 37-year-old man.

The victim suffered a broken leg and severe bruising.

He now needs to walk with a crutch.

Investigating officer, DC Garry Dixon, of the Abingdon Tasking Team, said: “Mohamed deliberately drove a car at the victim, causing him serious injuries requiring hospital treatment.

“This was a terrifying experience for the victim, who now needs crutches to walk."

He added: “Thames Valley Police will not tolerate violence of this kind in our communities, and Mohamed was brought before the courts to face justice for what he had done.

"I hope the conclusion of this sentencing can help to bring some form of closure for the victim.”
