VOLUNTEERS will raise funds for homelessness charities in a summer sleepout at the weekend.

Homeless Oxfordshire and employment charity Aspire Oxford are organising the sleepout tomorrow, which takes place at Linacre College.

The fundraiser was due to take place in March but the date was switched in a bid to get more people to sign up.

“Support from the public has never been more crucial.

"But the sleepout isn’t just a fundraiser, it’s a celebration of the people we support; their relentless resilience and their determination to overcome one of life’s most challenging situations.”

Sponsorship raised from the event will support both charities to continue providing practical and long-term solutions, designed to help people break the cycle of homelessness.

Homeless Oxfordshire and Aspire Oxford work with hundreds of vulnerable adults each year, providing specialist support to tackle the root causes of homelessness.
