A MAN has died after being rescued from a stream close to the Westgate in Oxford.
Police were scrambled to Castle Mill Stream, near Paradise Square, shortly before 10pm yesterday after reports of a man being in the water.
The area was cordoned off last night close to Paradise Street and Woodin's Way as emergency services rescued the man from the stream.

Thames Valley Police confirmed today that the man later died in hospital.
There police cordon remained in place until about 11am this morning and officers were reportedly making door to door enquiries with nearby residents.
A spokesman for the force said it is investigating the unexplained death and would urge anyone with information to contact police.
